Firstly, the bibliophile is defined as a deep desire or attraction for books concerning their content, form, etc. On the other hand, bibliomania can be described as a symptom related to an obsessive-compulsive disorder that almost compels individuals to collect them regardless of their content.
The problem with writing a cartoon that is syndicated bi-lingually is that often something is lost in the translation. bibliomaníaca in Spanish would have a slightly different, milder connotation – meaning a girl/woman who really loves books – is crazy about books. Bibliófila ( bibliophile ) is a little too staid for the gag.
