I’m new to this strip. Is it just me or does the guy on the right look like “Francis” from the comic strip Momma? It’s not the same cartoonist, but I really thought it was (Mel Lazarus).

Car repair can be so expensive. What with all those cinder blocks to prop it up in the front yard. And it seems like you have to replace all seven of the scented trees… at the same time! Ah, well, when it rains it pours. Speaking of which, I should replace the duct tape holding up the cardboard over the broken side door window.

Most mechanics aren’t that honest, I think you have a keeper, the mechanic I mean not the car!

My guess is that this mechanic’s brother or cousin is a used-car salesman.
