When I was young our mom took us to a nearby orchard. It was cheaper if you picked up the apples on the ground. She was always finding ways to stretch a dollar.
Uh oh…at least the child tried to carry the bushel of apples, they should help pick them up for grandpa.
It’s true ! The apples don’t fall far from the tree.
This would be the ideal time for Grandpa to recite that old axiom, “Don’t put all your apples in one basket.”
I hope Grampa can get up.
Took the grandkids apple-picking last week. After we got back to the main store I noticed that you paid twice as much to pick them yourselves.
