Apparently not on Pond Island.

I don’t think there is privacy anywhere for anyone anymore. :(

You are practicing the lesson my dad taught me many decades ago. If you sit still and quietly, the creatures of the pond will show themselves to you.

Awhile back I had been sitting by the pond at a nearby arboretum watching the turtles sunning themselves on a large rock in the pond. There were several frogs among the lily pads. A pair of geese had settled on the shore close by to rest for awhile. Then I heard a couple of noisy kids come stomping up to the pond. The turtles and frogs slipped below the water and the geese flew off. The kids glanced at the pond and I heard one of them say, “There’s never anything to see here!” Not long after they tromped off, I could see the eyes and nostrils of the frogs and the heads of the turtles peaking out of the water. Once they realized it was safe again, the returned to their former places.

I’m sure they all came for the same exact reason, right?

To be fair, many of those creatures may wonder why Snow is there, watching them.

I have a couple of private places I can go during the week to be out in nature in a quiet place. The important thing is to only describe them to other people in the vaguest possible terms . :)

I kind of thought that everyone was checking Snow out because he’s liked and admired by so many.
