Once again, Red feels how Charlie Brown feels each football season.

Rover walking away from his bowl with water literally running out of his mouth is just like Newton!! And while no one has slipped (yet) on the puddles he leaves, anyone who doesn’t notice them before they get mopped up is rewarded with very soggy socks. BTW, I love the change of direction in today’s strip—so fun!

Kind of hard at first to see what order you’re supposed to read these panels in. I see it now, though.

My Lizzie’s face is always dripping with water after she drinks! And especially evident when she licks my cheeks!

Many years ago my young son slipped in a dog dish puddle and hit his forehead on the corner of the butcher block dishwasher top. Much blood and tears. Husband drove us to the ER and once things were under control I realized I was barefooted!

I keep my dog’s water bowl on a fabric place mat. It helps a lot with dribbles, but she’s a small beagle, not as much water going in and then dribbling out. She got a little sloppier after having to have a tooth pulled. Maybe I should get a small washable rug for her now.

A friend of the family had Scottish and Irish Dear/Wolf hounds – they liked to use people as human napkins after drinking

They need to give Rover a very big version of those gerbil water bottles that control the water supply a little better. Maybe Rover can figure it out.

Every time my dog drinks I ask him “hey pal, do you think you can get some of that in your mouth?” And every time he looks up at me and tilts his head in a way that is just cute enough to keep the whole thing repeating.

Didn’t know the sequence was clockwise. Read it three times. Maybe a u-turn arrow?

Red ….. Rover just rinsed his mouth ….. so you’d get clean licks …… the least you could do, is have a mop with you to clean the floor ……… plus then you probably wouldn’t slip …… :)
