I went for an annual test last week. After checking in, I made next years appointment. While I sat in the waiting area I began to enter it into the calendar on my phone. Once I got to the correct date input the phone filled in the correct start time – which was different from the time it was then. Siri had been listening.

I knew it would eventually happen. Phones will have a mind of their own. They will rule the world. Oh, the horror!

Phones rule the world? They can’t do a worse job of it than humans are.

My flipphone resides in my back pocket 97% of the time. I suspect it has as much trouble hearing me as I have hearing it.

The new iOS update has Siri responding to just “Siri” now, as in seri(ous) and cere(al). Hilarity ensues…

A few times Siri responded when unbidden, like when I cried out “Seriously?” to someone.

Siri is stifled on my phone. I wanted to give him/her more time to bug others.
