For all the nuances in the comments and symbolism I’m going to go back to Wallace’s comment: Halloween is Epic! I SO loved it as a child. Ranked second only to Christmas.
There was a comedy years back called (I think) “The End Of Civilization As We Know It” starring John Cleese as the descendant of Sherlock Holmes. In one scene Dr. Watson is doing a crossword out loud and Sherlock is feeding him the answers, every answer is valid and sounds like “elementary” and Sherlock ends it by saying “my dear Watson”. Classic! Wish I could find it again.

Rose should have gone as the cannibal 3Musketeers. Call herself Hannibal Lecture.

A 3 Musketeers that eats 3 Musketeers, yes that is a twist.

I don’t get the “it’s quite exciting – yawn” reference and now it’s going to bug me.

I like the pillowcase bags; it’s what we used back in the day. No plastic pumpkins for our gang!

Yukon Cornelius is still a better costume. I imagine Hermey and Rudolph would have epic staches if they grew it out.

Well, I can understand that. 3 Musketeer bars are pretty darn tasty…

Sterling has a remarkable vocabulary for a boy whose mother is still dressing him. I figured him at around 3 or 4 yrs old

“It’s quite exciting,” said Sherlock Holmes, with a yawn.”

The Seagull has his eyepatch but no candy bag. I mean, someone might give him a fish treat.

Three of my friends actually showed up at a Halloween dance as the Three Musketeers (but they were all French soldiers, not candy bars!).
