In 2014, while driving from a meeting in Denver to my home in Cheyenne with a colleague I was dropping off in Fort Collins, I stopped at a farm from whom I would buy a bushel crate full of veg for $25 at our farmer’s market; I had brought the crate along for the stop. At time to pay I first gave them the $20 my passenger had given me for gas out of my shirt pocket, and they let me stop there rather than pull out my wallet for the other $5.
