If it’s His will, Teena, then it shall be done. No one likes someone who is too proud… which Jeri won’t admit to the Lord or to the minister.

Ahhh, religion, prayers, (pray to which God?)—-yes, I know–there is only “one” God—–but, because everyone thinks their God is the only one, so which one of the only one’s is it?

I don’t get it; Teena is the smart one. Why would she believe in a god or the supernatural? I saw through that nonsense when I was 8 years old.

Prayer is not to change God’s mind, it is to change ours.

Not to get into a religious argument, but if Jeri has everything, she could just say “Thanks.”

I think she’s sold her soul to the devil, and that’s why things are going so well for her.

People believe what they WANT to believe. I recognize this in myself.

Personally, I can’t understand why anyone would WANT to believe that God does not exist.

Oh, the god that sends us cancer, earthquakes and pestilence, the god that visits horrible pain and suffering on innocent little children, the god that has promised you will burn in great pain for ALL ETERNITY if you pi$$ him off? That god? Yeah, why would any sane person not want that vicious, vengeful creature to exist?

I don’t go to church. Every church I have been to has a mean god. I have my own personal notion of a higher power, and we get along just fine, thank you. And I do study and work hard, but it’s nice to think that there is something out there who gives me a little boost in the rough times. I know religion is mainly there to guide behavior and give comfort. I’m okay with that. I don’t worry about all the stuff about what happens after you die. I’ll find out when I get there.

My, my such angry people! In the name of freedom of choice let’s not try to sound so hatin’.

Besides, there are places in the Bible that talk about God forgiving people and showing mercy. (So anyone saying that God’s a big ol’ meanie hasn’t read far enough yet to get an actual understanding.) So yeah…

Anyway, back to the comic, I think the stain glass window is cool looking.

We’re talking about the God who sacrificed His own son, so the way would be clear to return to Him. Jusus suffered and died the most awful death you can imagine, for all the sins in the world. After three days, He came back to life. I’m not saying church is the answer, but Jesus is !

It really pains me to hear these people talk about my God in this way. It’s so vicious. I don’t know why it matters to you people so much what I believe in. If you have had negative experiences with Christians or churches, then it’s obvious that these people weren’t really true Christians because Christianity is a non-judgmental religion. Maybe you think we’re hypocrites? Well, we are. Everyone is at some point or other. We’re not perfect just because we’re Christians. We try our best and sometimes it doesn’t work out. But what’s so good about being Christian is that we have a loving and forgiving God. And hell is a place for non-believers, a place for people who laughed in his face and ignored his guidelines. If someone did that to you, would you accept them into paradise? Your paradise that you created for the people who love and care for you? I don’t think you would. And without suffering, we wouldn’t have a need for a God, now would we? And suffering make us stronger. It makes us who we are. You just can’t let it down and blame it all on God. Because, even though he has rules and guidelines, he gave us Freewill. He doesn’t control what someone does with a gun or where someone puts roofies. But he does tell us what to do, gives us advice. You can hear him, if you listen. It’s your conscience. He’s your conscience and is always listening and helping you out, even if you don’t believe him. Because he truly loves you.
