Christmas – the day when Santa leaves gifts in front of the (big console) TV.
My family is Jewish and we did not celebrate Christmas, but some clients of dad would give him Christmas gifts for me as did the manager of my maternal grandfather’s business, so the gifts were in the front of the big 1950s console TV. (Why there? When one does not have a chimney Santa comes out of the TV of course.)

When I was a kid, the newspaper had a Christmas countdown on the front page. It was like this to read it.
