Back in the mid 1950’s, my father, who was an engineer, took a paper mache jack-o-lantern and installed two glowing eye. They were “tuning eyes”, if you’re old enough to remember them. Glowing orbs with sort of fan shaped pupils that contracted as you tuned some electronic device. He put a speaker inside, wired to a mic in the house. The thing would do the bwa-ha-ha thing, the eyes glowing and changing with each syllable. It was in a bush by the door. Actually ended up with surplus candy that year.
My mother used to open the door and speak in a really weird voice to the kids while rubbing her hands together and telling them how tasty they looked. I would frequently get comments in school the next day about how scary my mom was. They had no idea how scary she truly was.

I must protest this type of prank – mouse c**p is REALLY hard to get of wooden decking!

Those mice aren’t having a great Halloween.

At first I wasn’t crazy about Scratch scaring away the mice yet again. But in the spirit of a harmless Halloween prank? I’ll give him this one.
Good Evening, Crew.
