In the old days, Casey Stengel said the New York Mets would start winning when t here were so many ex-New York Mets on the other teams that everybody would be equally lousy.
Texas winning the World Series brought that back——they were able to slaughter Paul Sewald;Arizona closer,when nobody else could through the whole playoffs.And Sewald is a former Met.
That green reminds me of that hole somewhere on the circuit—-I forget where, I don’t follow golf, just catch it from time to time—-that’s out in the middle of a water hazard.
As someone who grew up watching a lot of golf on the summer weekends since that was about all that was on, it’s sad that there is no pro golf anymore. And yes, pro golf is dead. Killed by bonesaws as I’ll never support a Saudi-owned anything. And the PGA commish can go rot in hell for taking the money.
