We need to do better. We’re poisoning our planet. Where the hell else are we going to live? Mars?

It always amazes me that people think you can continuously dump junk without consequences.

Humanity is not living up to it’s standards, look around at the devastation of the human and animal kingdoms, very upsetting.

My wife and I vacation at the beach, south of the Outer Banks at what we call the Inner Banks. There are a number of pelicans there and we watch as they fly out to their fishing grounds in the morning usually skimming the water just above the reflected sunlight and return to their nesting grounds in the evening at about eye level to our 10th story rented condo.

The joke is “Pelican: its beak can hold more than its belly can.” which is literally true.

They also appear as one of the most ungainly birds of the avian community and seem to be only marginally aerodynamic. If there is any doubt that birds evolved form dinosaurs compare the pelican to a pterosaur. Nonetheless, pelicans are exceptionally well adapted to their lifestyle. They wheel about at an altitude of about 30 feet over the water, can spot fish UNDER the water, fold their wings in and dive head first INTO the water impacting at what I estimate to be about 30 miles an hour.

We humans, for all our technical prowess, have yet to develop a submersible aircraft that can perform this feat.

Now, if we could only train them to place their catch in a dumpster we could carry on with nary a worry. S/

Actually we are all guilty, and until we stop buying things/spending money.. the pollution problem will continue.

If insects disappeared tomorrow all human life would end within 50 years. If all humans disappeared tomorrow, most others species would flourish. So scientists say.

Every time that humans eat from the bounty the ocean provides they now ingest within it some form(s) of micro plastics, and chemical, nuclear or oil spillage provided by mankind.

Oh dear. No one did figure out thatproblem, I mean like more than 90% plastic debris are flowing out of 9 major rivers in Asia. In those countries there are no recycling or waste management facilities. So what people do? They throw plastics, and everything else in river. Flow do carry problems away from upriver. Well, downriver people aren’t as pleased. Neither are sea fishers close to river delta’s.

Bot how it is MY fault?
