I’ll bet that any kids on the bus (check out the smiles) who don’t have dogs sure wish they did! Nothing better than a slobbery greeting from one who loves you!
How about a GIRL and HER dog? Arguably, female humans seem to have more love, empathy and nuturing attitudes towards animals anyway. Just my opinion, formed from day-to-day life experiences. Great strip today, Brian. Never retire, please. Couldn’t stand it without my Red and Rover fix. Love that dog!!!!

I wouldn’t care less if people saw my dog greeting me upon arrival from school. I’d, A. Enjoy it!, and B. Free Publicity!!

Me and my Rover
Like the white cliffs of Dover
Wherever we go
Everyone knows
It’s me and my Rover
Me and my Rover
Taking the high road
Wherever we go
Everyone knows
It’s me and my Rover
And in the morning when I wake up
All my home work will be done, I know
And if loose it in one of life’s little hiccup
I’ll carry on, oh yes I will
Me and my Rover
(Doodle-dee-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo-doo-doo)
Like the white cliffs of Dover
Wherever we go
Everyone knows
It’s me and my Rover
Me and my Rover
Me and my Rover
Me and my Rover
Me and my Rover
Me and my Rover
Me and my Rover
(Doodle-dee-doo, doo-doo, doo-doo-doo-doo)
Like the white cliffs of Dover
Wherever we go
Everyone knows
It’s me and my Rover

As someone who grew up in the 60’s and is the owner of two dogs, comics can’t get much better than this.

Anyone embarrassed by an enthusiastic dog greeting might want to get his/her/their priorities straight.

The second happiest sight in the world. The happiest is your dog greeting you.

Not remotely embarrassing! But it could make some people jealous!

I got home late tonight. The doggos were so glad to see me. Nothing more wholesome than a boy and his dog.

That is what I tell my husband of 13 years when I kiss him, just because I want to, in public.
