After 10 years and many thousands of dollars, I had a breakthrough and my therapist said something that made me cry last week. He said; “No habla ingles”
Good Morning. Oh yeh, so familiar, its our very own complex way of turning a good thing (You’re doing great) into a bad thing…(rejection)……waaaah. So. Here’s to our inner selves….buck up soldiers!! Hug a cat. The Boss has our back. :-))
My psychiatrist died 2 weeks after he last saw me. I was able to get a new psychiatrist 2 weeks after that. Thank good luck. I’m more of a mess when I’m off my meds than when I’m on them. And I am a real mess on my meds.
So much to say about this… probably best left unsaid. Keep trying… support groups can help but a good therapist is awesome when you finally find the right match. Maybe a counseling internship program through a university might work with you for the right fit???
Remember “there is a God and he is a gagwriter” from the movie Skin Deep, 1989 – spoken by the late John Ritter. Humor is healing in my own personal experience…

Yes, very accurate assessment of the issues of current psychotherapy.

Mental health care is poor. The choice of therapeutic model these days seems to be the one with the fastest turn around.

Oy! Sometimes they open a can of worms then leave you to deal with them.☹️

This is sad and frustrating. I hope you can find and afford someone who can help you.

Needing fewer visits is a good thing. You’re doing better and now you have more time to do things you enjoy.

Thanks for sharing that Hun, I’ve been hesitant to find a therapist, for personal reasons. I hope you find what you need soon! XOXO

On a different subject, I love the way your husband calls you “lamb”. I think it’s beautiful! ❤️
