At least he didn’t eat the candy, a lot of human candy will make a dog sick and at the very least you will have to clean up after him.

You just can’t get good help these days.

He’s a pushover.

It was a fair trade! He got lots of pats and hugs in exchange!

You can’t expect a people pleaser to withhold from people.

Couldn’t help it, they gave good sritches.

If he gave away all the candy, he would have given away the bowl.

The dog didn’t give it away; I’m sure the kids were polite enough to ask him if they could take all of it. And when he didn’t answer, the kids took his silence as a “yes.”
