Fiction can never match reality for weirdness. No one would believe it.

The evening news came on when our 6 year old granddaughter was visiting. I muted, then turned the TV off. Shocking for a child to witness — adults also for that matter.

Probably “Last Week Tonight,” which is no longer bleeped.

They need parental locks now for the news

In 1995 we got rid of our TV. Best thing we ever did. I can grab some news from the internet or a newspaper if I want (Yes in our area there still is one) but I am no longer slammed with fake emotional reactions to news happening in far away places. No longer told “how I should feel” about things I have no connection with. No longer subjected to anger, fake sorrow, bad actors and an unending stream of inane drivel about nonsense I honest don’t give a hoot about. And politics…. And that’s just the lack of TV ads in my life!

Surprised at his mistake, cause it stopped being news to us years ago.
