Well, not really. But I drank my share of hose water in my day, and I’m still here. ‘Course, I also survived riding in the bed of my Dad’s pick-up truck…
I’ve heard a lot of negatives about drinking from a garden hose and all the ailments you can get. I’m 73, drank from a hose since I was knee high to grasshopper, had a lead paint crib I chewed on, lived in a lead painted house, played with mercury, had mercury fillings in my teeth, fell out of trees and off my bike, never suffering a broken bone, no helmet, etc. and am basically healthy. I guess I must be “bullet” proof.
All I know is two things(when it comes to this subject manner) 1: The water (for some reason) tasted better out of the hose than a glass and ; 2) Drinking out the hose, kept us from asking Mom’s for glasses of water which kept them not quite as ‘ticked off’ at us kids had we ‘bugged’ them about drinks ! ! !
Been drinking out of a hose all my life. Convenient, always cold (if you let the hot water from sitting in the sun run thru first),never seems to run out, it’s free in some states, and typically good for a quick, impromptu water fight on a hot day :D
The best water is on US military bases. Just ask the folks at Camp Lejeune, Pearl/Hickam, Joint Base McGuire,Dix, Lakehurst or any airbase using firefighting foam.

The very best tasting, true hose-water flavor is from a hose made in a sweat shop in Pakistan. I think Harbor Freight sells them. Yum!

No. No, it doesn’t. Unless you enjoy the taste of vinyl or rubber.

And getting some of it up your nose is part of the fun — like your brother did to you.

Just don’t try to drink when the hose has been setting in the sun on a hot summer afternoon! HOT!

Can’t beat the smell and taste of rubber in lukewarm water on a hot day.
