You don’t treat them nice, you deserve it.

Years ago I knew a man in southern Indiana who owned a “pet” black bear. The animal was caged. All was well enough until it wasn’t. Evidently, while feeding the bear, it attacked its owner. His screams fetched his wife to the cage. She carried a rifle and shot dead the bear. The owner was maimed, never to completely to recover. The owner of the now defunct Armor Museum in Anderson, Indiana (McClain or McCland was his name) owned and kept caged a lioness at his museum.

Pit bulls are the sweetest. When tried to be aggressive and such they can be very bad dogs, like any other. I blame the sun-humans who train them. There are no bad dogs. Except chihuahuas.

Generally pit bulls are not a huge threat to humans and especially their human owners. The neighbor’s dog or cat better watch out though. Looks like old Zeke on the porch stuck his limbs and face into a few dog fights though

He would be just as badly off with Chihuahuas. He never had control of the situation.
