    My Sadie’s a retired RN.

During her last year she had to draw blood from a fellow with many piercings and tattoos who said, “I really don’t like needles.”

The places they choose to have their bodies mutilated is the weirdest part.

All of these things have been around for decades (and in the case of tattoos and piercings, all of human history), but sure, “these days.”

I’ve worked and lived in enough parts of the world where they are the norm that I’ve come to accept that the idea I grew up with, that tattoos and piercings were a sign of lower class at best, is wrong. I still don’t like most tattooing though, and every time I see a nose ring dangling down my first impression is that it is a booger dripping out.
