Every year doctors and scientists are in the media telling us how bad switching the clocks is for our bodies and minds, and every year we’re forced to do it. Here in S. Europe at every election one party or another promises that they will stop the nonsense, and even when they’re elected we still have to do it.
Because of the hill behind our house, at the time of the winter solstice, on standard time the sunlight dose not touch our house till 9 o’clock. If daylight savings became permanent sunlight would not touch our house until 10. So, leave it alone.
I think the better time to do the ‘spring forward’ (if we have to do it at all) would be 4PM on Friday – that way everybody gets out of work early and no whining about losing an hour of sleep!

I’ve never found the change to be all that significant.
