The worst pain I can remember was a case of diverticulitis. If this was as bad or worse than that, FWIW, “I feel ya”.

Yikes! Hopefully it only gets better from here. I take it that it’s a good sign you are able to draw a cartoon about it and the worst is over.

That’s the problem with pain medication, it can mask some bigger problem. Thankfully you we’re on at those that allowed the pain to break through, or you wouldn’t be telling the story.

This happens cats a lot. They swallow things like shoe laces or, like our daughter’s cat, pencil erasers.

As a practicing MD, (one if these days I’ll get it right) your prescriptions are written for a reason. “Doubling up” and such can cause problems. Always, ALWAYS, ask about making changes to what is prescribed. Be glad you did not get an ostomy. Or did you?
