As an elderly person myself, family visits can be exhausting, even when they bring the food, etc. I much prefer one or two at a time although I would NEVER say so!
Is that my Mum’s table? When I was growing up, she was a VERY good housekeeper, but once she moved into a retirement center, she went downhill so fast she left skid marks. She would read half of an article in a magazine, roll the book around so she could finish it later, and then pile more magazines on top of it. She’d write a couple of checks, misplace the checkbook on the table, find another one and try to remember what her balance was, and start all over. We found eight checkbooks on her dining room table when she was in the hospital. The photo here is only the table -the bedroom was the same way, and the management at the center had turned off her stove because of all the paper she had piled on it. (My excuse is that I was working on a dollhouse, and all of that stuff is part of the process.

Petey has clearly found some evidence of witchcraft. What next? The Spanish inquisition?

I can never figure out whose side of the family Grandma belongs to. Is she Madeleines mum?

I want to know what the records are. Benny Goodman? Doris Day? The Mills Brothers?

That last bit with Petey and his dad is one of my favorite Cul de Sac scenes. Among many, of course.
