The police don’t always know how to handle a really mad (rabid) animal. I once witnessed a rabid Siamese cat crouched in a puddle on a rainy day. The police officers turned up without a grasper, gloves or even a box to put the animal in. I had to go on to work, but I bet that did not work out well.
