Ooops, Charlie Brown accidently causes permeant 24 hour daytime.

It is daytime somewhere, so it worked

That wish will be granted eventually, Charlie Brown!

“Please allow 12 hours for wish fulfillment.”

Since I read all these at the same time, I’m pretty sure that a couple of years from now, I’ll remember the storyline where Chuck was visited by Patty during the middle of the night, while standing watchdog for the other Patty – or dreamt of it, anyway – and made a wish for it to be morning because he was so tired, and wanted to go to sleep.

I’ll never find this storyline again. I’ll find two similar storylines, but never this one.

… and given that it might take a while for the wish to “kick in”, CB will get his wish.

There was a later strip, from when the strip was better established. Charlie Brown, alone, makes a wish on the first star he sees. He had just wished (as I recall) the people would like him, when the star fell from the sky. He turns to a second star and just starts the poem when that one falls as well. He sighs in despair.

I want that star, I want it now, I want it all and I don’t care how

Your wish is granted However, it will take me a little while to make it happen ….
