In all my 70 years on earth, there was only one time I remember when our state newspaper (Oklahoma) issued an extra edition — when the Edmond Post Office was shot up by Patrick Sherrill. Made even more meaningful because we lived in Edmond at the time and our mail carrier was one who was killed.
