many years ago I had a lady come up to me and say “you know, if I practiced as much as you do, and played as long as you have, I’d be just as good as you”. I simply could not think of a response. And I never miss a chance to be extremely sarcastic if I get one. I never figured out if it was a compliment or a put-down, as her face was expressionless, so I simply said “Oh, okay” and walked away shaking my head. people are strange and in the world of music sometimes even stranger. js

Technical skill is one thing, Charlie Brown. But you still have to feel and interpret the music.

Right. And if little frogs had little wings they wouldn’t bump their little butts on the ground.
