Fred is keeping the brush man away from the Mrs. That is something that Mr. Dear can be thankful for.

Presumably, Fred doesn’t mind the painters but does mind salesmen.

The only door-to-door salesmen I’ve seen here are from ONE pest control company. Same moronic line, “We are in the area …”. Can I get a bucket of pest control salesman repellent?

Hard to believe people actually made a living knocking on doors selling brushes. The only brushes I replace a lot are toothbrushes.
