Wow, that is quite an interesting shape that Cathy is in. It’s like an inverse hourglass. Volume really does make a difference. I’ve stopped snacking at night and changed any day snacks to be healthy. I feel good, esp at my age.

This is a good time to let people who don’t care know that I lost five pounds in the last two months. I used the simple expedient of dividing the carbohydrates on my plate in half and pushing one half away from me. The other trick is that I NEVER eat “fast food”. Food is better.
Less fattening food — like giant bagels, jumbo fries, and super-sized sodas — and more long walks with Electra will help solve some of your weight problems, Cathy. Then you can wear regular, normal pants again instead of ones with drawstrings and elastic waistbands that expand when you do. So, go ahead and give it a try. What have you got to lose ….. other than a bunch of unwanted pounds? Your poor, neglected, overweight dog will enjoy spending a lot more time with you and the overall health benefits of those walks the two of you take together will do the BOTH of you a world of good in more ways than one! ♥

It’s definitely not easy to make healthy choices with all of the temptation out there. I’ve almost cut out fast food, slowly working on switching out unhealthy snacks for healthier ones.
