People used to take a few dozen pictures on their vacation, and when they had been developed, they put them in albums, and every now and then they’d take the albums out and look at the pictures. With digital photography, people take a thousand pictures or more on their vacation, post a couple of them on social media, and then never look at them again.
Even when I brought my digital camera on trips, I didn’t bring any of the stuff that went with it. I’d just download it when we got home. I try to be a light packer and not bring unnecessary stuff.
