I think everyone has a “system” of how they eat candy. Do you eat the good ones first or last? For me, it depends on if I’m sharing or not. If there are others eating the candy also, I’ll eat my favorites first. If it’s all mine, I’ll save my favorites for last.
Hello Cathy friends! Happy Thursday! Have a great day and a Happy Halloween, all!
Pouring rain all day here with snow expected before morning. Not a good night for the kids to be out so I suspect we will only see the ones on our street. That is ok – lots more left over for me.
Beautiful, warm night, but for the second year straight we had no trick-or-treaters. Nada. We are at the dark end of a street (only house lights, no street lamps,) and one house from a very busy through street. Our neighbors kids are mostly in college, or infants, and the ones who were finally old enough, just moved away. I bought kit kats and some Italian chocolate hazelnut confection. Things I know won’t go to waste. We don’t really need the candy, but I’m sure if I didn’t have any on hand, one loan trick-or-treater would show up.
Personally, I (unintentionally) stocked up on a lot of candy over the past few days, from various local organizations/places. I should be good till Easter now—ha.

Really big bowl of miniature candy bars. Front window decorated. I’m ready for this afternoon. (I’m guessing at least two naps before then!)

They will soon be checking the cupboards for those dried-out jelly-bean-flavored jelly beans from last year. :)

We only had 5 kids…but we did go for a walk into town and that’s where all the kids are…hitting the stores for the real goodies.
