I am now 54 years old and am constantly being asked by my wife of thirty years what I want to be when I grow up. She is a very patient and forgiving woman when I choose to go out and play pickup games of football with our Son and his friends. They are all in their early 20’s, so it does not go well for me.

My favorite quote on aging comes from Sir Terry Pratchett, “Inside every Old Person is a Young Person wondering, ‘What happened?’”

I want to be me. I just got to be me. What more can I be?

Question. Why are Hammy and RJ sitting in Jello? Just thought I’d ask.

Squirrels only have four or five years, so Hammy is probably already in his golden years. Yet, he’s still young at heart.

KC135E… if you flew out of McGuire, I may have sipped your secret sauce once or twice…I keep wondering ‘how the heck did I get to be the same age as old people?’

How long you have is how long you have. I intend to make however much longer I have be joyful. Have a good day, and a nice life!

You will grow old, if you’re lucky. You don’t have to grow up. Stay young at heart.

aging is unavoidable, maturing is not
