We actually had a health insurance officer who tried to block a dental payment for one of our engineers because the bill said it was for “adult prophylaxis”. She tried to tell him that if his daughter had adult teeth, she was an adult and could not be paid under his medical policy. Fortunately, the CEO was a very reasonable man and OK’d the payment. I don’t know how the health insurance officer kept her job.

Too true in most of the Medicare Advantage cases unless they deny the claim in the first case so the doctor doesn’t even try.
