He “dung” a good thing for the soil.

In the winter, I love the contrast of the bright red papa cardinals against the background of snow.

In some cultures, that’s a sign of good luck. In others, it’s just a sign that you shouldn’t park your car under a tree.

There’s a saying “when cardinals appear, angels are near.” I like to believe it’s true.

I created a fused glass panel with two cardinals sitting on a conifer branch. It is within eyesight when I’m in my living room. Which is where I spend a good deal of my time.

Reminds me of the hummingbirds we get in the spring and summer. They always seem to “squirt” when they come to feed or hang out on our balcony. I figure it’s only sugar water!

Haha. Yes – they are beautiful birds.
