Yes, it was heavy, but the real problem was the extension cord.

I love rock ’n roll, so put another dime in the jukebox, baby.

Jukeboxes were fun because you could watch the records being pulled out of a rack, settling on the turntable, and the needle descending without human help. The old Wurlitzers had wonderful sound quality and colored lights, some of which changed with the music. And best of all, it was a shared experience. I feel sorry for today’s kids who don’t have as many opportunities for them.

That sure is a fancy-shmancy box, just to keep a Juke in.

A jukebox is always an attraction. An iPod, not so much.

The smaller ones on tables would be easier to carry …!

Wasn’t there a line in a movie that went “Play it Juke. Play it again” ? Oh yeah. It was in White House.

No jukebox in the school, but our local drugstore had a soda fountain with a counter and 3 or 4 booths. Records always sounded better on a jukebox because you were with your friends and enjoying a [soda] pop or a float or an ice cream sundae [pick your favorite]. Only the booths had the playlist, besides the jukebox itself.
