    50 years later, she’d break a CD!

Breaking a record at home: BAD. Breaking a record at the Olympics: GOOD. Sounding like a broken record: BAD.

I am always extremely careful with my records —to the point that I end up ripping the sleeve.

i was confounded by the number of chipped LPs in our college radio station’s library, until one evening i pulled a record from the shelf & the disc slipped out the bottom of a worn-out sleeve & hit the floor. Many of those LPs were irreplaceable. :-(

Cautionary signage was soon posted in the stacks.

If she didn’t eat all the time her hands would not have been greasy enough to drop that.

Happens all the time. I’m often hearing that musicians dropped an album.

Talk about old. A lot harder to break the vinyl records than the old shellac, but no reason to give up!
