    Fred when there is no scent trail to follow this becomes a hard find . Most dogs need a trail to follow ;-)

    I have a Black Lab “granddog” who loves to fetch. If sticks or balls are unavailable, she will bring you a rock to throw. She will retrieve that particular rock even if tossed into the gravel driveway.
