I have always followed HS sports. Like I am sure many of Gil’s readers did. Even 50 years after HS I still follow HS sports. Why is this strip so hard to follow now. I know HB has a few defenders here but even they must have a hard time following the logic of these strips.

P1 – Surprised nobody has pointed out the bizarre yellow sky that disappears by P2. Is it aliens? It must be aliens.

P2 – Must have been a pick-six? I bet that ref has trouble holding the football, what with his tiny hands. And the loss of one finger on his right hand. Whigham must hate the guy if he shrunk his hands.

P3 – I do like how he drew this scene, except for inserting the massive hands. He just couldn’t help himself. Maybe that explains P2, he used up most of his hand allowance in this panel.

Don’t look for a resolution to this game tomorrow. I predict there will be a timeout for Thanksgiving wishes, sponsored by WKRP in Milford. In fact, I hear the helicopter returning now. We’re about to have the surprise turkey giveaway for the fans. Les Nessman, take it away!

I think we all missed it. InP-3, there is an obvious person wearing a golf glove. Henry simply applied VT’s handicap, and we are going to overtime. It’s only a matter of who has honors at the Tee.

P-1: is mislabeled. That is not an interception. That is a basic form, low block, going for a green belt in Tae Kwan Do. Good for a 6th Gup. You’ll have to get your calculators out to figure out how many football points that’s worth.

An interception a tenth of a second after the ball is thrown?!? Wouldn’t showing the actual interception make more sense?!? Good Lord!
