Ah! But she decided to put a particular type of bread into the machine, how long to toast it for and will probably butter it etc. those are the only creative parts of the enterprise.
I guess by this way of thinking no one actually does anything. I don’t bake a pie, the oven does. I don’t fry an egg, the frypan does. I don’t crochet a scarf, my crochet hook does. I don’t type, the keyboard does. I don’t like this line of thinking.
We have a ninja table top smoker. Yes, we put the meat in, press the correct buttons and the device cooks it very nicely. Is it cheating? Perhaps it is. And it could come back and haunt us if we have to cook the meat without the the digital brain. We may forget over time.
Simple test there.. put the bread next to the toaster and wait. By Junior’s reasoning it could be some 14 year old kid working in a coal mine that helped make the electricity that the toaster used.
She does not expect to be graded on the toast. It’s not an intellectual endeavor. No one says he can’t use a computer for research. There’s just a limit.

No dear. I spread the bread with butter and put it in a frying pan. No modern conveniences in this house. It’ll only be a minute.

OK kid, tell the toaster to make it and wait.

Interesting argument. I understand Macushlalondra’s thinking. And Some Idiot’s as well.

Obviously Jr does not have any real respect for his mother, always being sarcastic toward her.

Easy thing to counter. Do you want to be operated by someone who studied or by someone who had a chatbot doing their homework?
