It’s a reptibuginake (the vermin version of turducken): a bug stuffed into a lizard stuffed into a snake.

Since it was during the great depression, Huberta must have been a hippopotahobo.

I don’t get it. The hippopotamus started walking during the great depression, which was pretty much unknown in South Africa, to go… where? Maybe it thought that, since the depression was caused by a donkey and an elephant, a hippopotamus could be of help? Did it walk in circles? Are they so heavy that a 1 mile a day speed is a surprise? What’s so hard to believe? That someone took the time to measure the journey of a hippopotamus in the middle of the great depression?? Anyway… I DON’T want a hippopotamus for Christmas! :D

So, could Huberta have done such a thing when it was not the Great Depression? Or was it a great depression which Huberta crossed? Just how is the Great Depression relevant here?

Like to know how they knew it was the same Hippo, did it have a definite marking, or maybe they branded it?
