I’m not sure “enjoyed” is the right word there.

I have to go to Iceland! I MUST!!! Who can resist email messages written by a horse on a car-sized keyboard? :D It has to be the brainchild (brain-excretion?..) of a “public servant.” Only governments employ that kind of “genius”…

I’ll have to look into the horse e-mail thing. It looks like fun.

Back in 1972, I flew from Atlanta, Ga. to Yokosuka, Japan on four different airlines, all on 747’s, and I was the only passenger onboard any of the planes. I was given first class seating on each airline because I was the only one aboard. I had all the stewardesses waiting on ME. It was grand!

I heard of that airline story a few weeks ago. I’m curious how much that cost the company, his ticket was probably a little under $1000, but they had to pay the wages of the flight crew and all of the fuel needed to get the plane to its destination, which I’m guessing was quite a chunk of change…

on the second leg of a return flight from Mexico, I was alone on board with the airplane magazine and solitary man who was trying to groom me for a quick hotel stay at our destination city. i suppose it could have been worse.

Back in the 1960’s and 1970’s, the airlines had to get planes to where they were needed, so they flew them there regardless of how many passengers or no passengers. That died out in the 1980’s with the first gas price increases.
