As a person who’s struggled her whole life to pat myself on the head and God forbid speak up for myself, I can relate. Only now in my 70’s am I beginning to feel the power to do so. It’s more subtle than some yet, but I will NEVER be obnoxious. Not out loud at least :-)
You said it sister! People are so people-y (petty and jealous). I get upstaged, blocked, misrepresented, drowned out and overlooked. And that’s the less upsetting list.

Unfortunately, attendance is mandatory, and life-long.
But, on the plus side, it doesn’t cost anything, if you are very, very careful, aside from compulsory taxation.

Just saw an ad for a t-shirt: “Dogs make me happy (I would say ‘cats’), humans make my head hurt.”

The problem with “Being People 101” is they keep changing the course. I can’t keep up!

Well, Amanda, if you need confirmation, I agree with your self assessment.
