When I was little, it took a lot of the fun out of xmas morning when we had to wait in the hallway while dad fiddled with his video camera and flood lights. Then we walked out squinting, blinded by the triple flood lights and couldn’t see the presents he wanted to capture our reactions to. He gave it up the year I stopped believing in Santa. I would have believed longer but my older sisters told me because they were tired of the charade.
