I wonder which banks are on fire now. I know Silicon Valley Bank died, but it was Crypto and the owner was corrupt.
Just heard the other day that if it had not been for banks in the western world we might all be quite a bit poorer for it not unlike the the non-oil Middle East and parts of Africa. Anyway, I am no economist so have no idea.
The government, via the fed, sets interest rates.
