I’ve done this, not to delay anything but because I want to see if I’m right before I forget about it.

One of my dad’s best friends, and my first summer job boss was called Bub. Great guy and a war hero.

Ah, he’s ADHD. So easily distracted by the next thought. I can sympathize since I’m ADHD, too. Getting things done is a challenge.
