Novels I’ve read had jars of pickled onions and pigs knuckles on the bar in the U.S. for patrons to snack on.
Andy needs to eat something to soak up the beer he soaks up, the old SOAK!

Was going to make a Gimlet, son of Gloinion joke, but it’s the Gibson that uses pearled onions…

grand memories of whiling a Saturday afternoon away drinking Coors Banquet and eating a dozen pickled eggs. then getting tossed four hours later for farting.
It won’t take so long for him to get pickled.
I would have thought Flo’s burnt dinner would be enough to soak up the alcohol.
A packet of crisps would be better. Good old Ready Salted. My favourite!
