I know what broccoli rabe is; I just don’t get the joke.
Beats me.
Broccoli spelled backwards is ILOCCORB. Makes as much sense as the comic.
Hey – I get it!… No. No I don’t.
Well, at least I’m not the only one that doesn’t get it.
For dessert … stollen.
So this joke hinges on everyone knowing that “rabe” is pronounced ROB. Who knew?
Can’t win ’em all….lol
“My wallet got right in, but I had to wait for a table…”
Broccoli rabe is actually quite tasty.
Huh?
I never understood why a lot of people I knew had an intense dislike for broccoli until I read that:
Broccoli tastes bitter to some people. This bitterness is inherited through the TAS2R38 gene. About 52% of the population has this gene.
