High Schools and Colleges in the USA do not wrestle FreeStyle in competition with other schools that is the International Style along with Greco that is wrestled in the Olympics

High Schools and colleges wrestle Folk Style also called Scholastic wrestling in the USA. There are different rules between this and the International styles. Though we compete internationally it requires to wrestle based on the style which have different rules

Let’s see, Keri plays volleyball, softball, basketball swims and wrestles. It’s amazing she has any time at all to high jump Pedro’s bone.

A controversy over Inma’s attire? We had that here in Ohio with a girl wearing a hijab to run cross country, she was disqualified.

There would be more interest if Dorothy Wolfe wrestled. The stench smelling mats would smell better.

I’ve watched/covered many college sports, including wrestling and I don’t ever recall hearing PA announcer calling for a wrestler to ‘report to a mat’. Maybe HS wrestling has more than one match going on at the same time, hence ‘mat 2’, but probably not. That requires 2 completely different set of timers, refs and coaches….. plus a segmented fan base trying to watch 2 (or, in HB’s world, maybe even more) matches at the same time.

Wrestling is coed around here. Other than the obvious benefit of getting to wrestle with a girl, there’s no upside. Either you “just beat a girl,” or you “got beat by a girl.”

Inma Rimsha? That sounds like Buster Hymen or Phil McCracken.
