There is a church near me that will wrap presents for free. People donate their time and wrapping paper and ribbon.

I never used the service, and so I always assumed that a donation would be requested. However, they started putting on the flyers that it is an absolutely free service and they will not ask for a donation. I heard it was originally to help elderly and handicapped, but expanded to help anyone for any reason.

I don’t go to that church, but I like them. They do a lot of stuff like that. They also have fantastic carillon bells and even do carillon concerts. I always open my windows to listen. They had a fun one for Halloween — you had to hear the Addams Family theme song on carillon bells coming from a church tower to know they have a sense of humor, which is fairly rare for any religious organization.

I always wrap. It is how I was brought up. Younger family members have all gone over to the lazy stick-it-in-a-bag with tissue on top.

I learned how to wrap when I worked at a packaging store. Gift bags are easy for odd-shaped and loose items. I get only the fanciest bags.

Santa’s elves are very busy at this time of year. They don’t have time for freelancing. But maybe if you offered to pay them a lot of $$$, they’d come and take care of you.

—) We now see the full decadence of Aunty Acid. Here she attempts to load additional responsibilities onto the already overworked Elves of Santa’s workshop. She sits there blithely enjoying Nipples of Venus (Capezzoli di Venere) while those elves are working their little tushies off! No doubt she is also drinking eggnog with high alcohol content!

One Christmas season early in my so-called career I took a part-time job evenings after my real job to sell men’s wear at Marshall Fields. I learned how to wrap presents there. Fun observation, customers who had ancestors from all parts of Asia always asked for gold cord and gold stickers.

Maybe this is not a bad idea. I understand that we have an elf surplus since Keebler laid them off.

The elves are concerned about being molested.

I’m surprised she didn’t write that in cursive, but that’s no way to Santa for help.

Gift wrapping was always one of my favorite things to do for the holidays. I hardly do any shopping any more; I’m more likely to take family members out to dinner. Gift cards are another big winner too.

Expensive wrapping paper makes a fine gift and you can imagine they are going to keep it for at least as year. :)

My wrapping technique is what ever shape the object is, that is the shape of the package. And everyone gets the same thing. AH life is easy around the holidays.
