I think that all of my “adult” children still have their shoes with laces already “tied” and they slip their feet in rather than untying and tying them.
As an older person now living in a nursing home I find it difficult to bend over and do the straps on my shoes due to the arthritis in my back and hips. While I’m able to get dressed every morning I usually carry my shoes with me until I find someone who can put them on for me.

I like the way Broomie hovers a few inches over the ground in panel 1

She should tie them together. Missing a priceless opportunity to teach the kid at least two important lessons.

Time for hook’n’loop fasteners or permanently tied elastic laces.

Oh, go ahead and do it, Broomie! Don’t let prissy buzzard Gaylord rain on our parade of prankster fun!
